Formation

Corundum naturally occurs in a type a rock called igneous rock. In the process of metamorphosis, when those rocks start cooling down in that process sapphires are formed. The slower process will be the purest and big sapphire will be formed.

Treatment

Because Natural blue sapphires are full of cracks and fissures which make it more cloudy and less attractive, it has become an industry standard to fill the cracks in sapphires, thereby improving its clarity and color. Traditional fillers are natural oils and heating treatment is used to clear the silk present in the sapphire in order to make it perfect and free from all the impurities.
